In August’s newsletter, Tobacco Free Communities | Delaware, Otsego & Schoharie (TFC-DOS) talks about the FREE Smash Bros gaming tournament online that Leatherstocking Education on Alcoholism/Addictions Foundation’s (LEAF) is hosting starting August 22nd. It creatively engages local youth while also educating them on prevention messages during the tournament. The newsletter also has an article about the increased likelihood of those in poverty and those with mental illness smoking with more barriers to try quitting then other groups of people, as well as an article reflecting on the winner of the Youth Ambassador of the Year Awards (YAYA) that Reality Check hosts every year.
